NUNTHORPE YC 1 RA JUNIORS 5

The RA were in league action away to Nunthorpe this week. The RA got off to a flying start when a good through ball from Lewis Harrison put Tom Watson clear on goal and he chipped the approaching keeper well to score the first goal of the game. Nunthorpe made the RA battle for every ball with some heated challenges at times. In the 21st minute good work from Watson gave Jack Ridley his first goal of the game and just two minutes later an excellent pass from man of the match Liam Allen found Lewis Harrison who's left foot strike beat the Nunthorpe keeper. The RA's final chance of the first half came when good work from Watson saw Ridley firing just wide in front of the goal.

In the 51st minute Andy Grey saw a shot go wide, just a minute later Jack Ridley was clear on goal and he rounded the keeper to make the score 4-0. 60 minutes gone and the RA were well in control of the game when good work from Ridley found Watson who somehow fired over the bar. in the 68th minute a powerful run by Andy Grey into the Nunthorpe penalty area saw him brought down for a RA penalty which was converted by Ridley to complete his hat-trick. Nunthorpe scored their only goal of the game five minutes from time scoring from close range. One final chance from the RA saw a Harrison shot well saved. Final score 5-1
