DARLINGTON RA JUNIORS 13 SWALWELL 1 The RA juniors began the season with a Durham cup tie against Swalwell.Just 5 minutes had gone when Andy Grey tapped in from a keeper error, 3 minutes later it was 2-0 when Jack Ridley fired home. After 12 minutes Jack Ridley again finished well, the RA were well in control of this cup tie. On 20 minutes Craig Hancock headed home the RA's fourth goal. Jack Ridley completed his hat-trick in good style from a great cross from Tom Watson, seven minutes later it was Jacks turn to set up Tom to make it 6-0. It was James Howell who scored the seventh firing home from close range, quickly followed by Toms second of the game to make it 8-0 at half time. The second half took a while to match the pace of the first half until Jack got his fourth after 53 minutes quickly followed by a great finish from Jamie Stokes after good work from Craig Hancock. In the 65th minute Swalwell got a consolation goal, this was to be the only action Shaun "the wall" Harrison would see for the rest of the game. In the 71st minute a good cross from Carl Allen was finished well by Craig Hancock, 2 minutes later a rare goal from Kiel "the bullet" Mellor made it 12-1 and in the final minute Jack got his fifth goal of the game to make the final score 13-1.
